Co-founder, The Sunshine Tribe
Co-founder, The Sunshine Tribe
In 2007 Josh and his wife started a day tour company in Melbourne, Australia. They had no experience in tourism, no business experience, no networks or support and no funds. After 2 years of 60 hour weeks, they were taking home $20,000 a year and had nearly thrown in the towel more times than they could count.
Fast forward 7 years and they had grown that business to $2 million plus in revenue annually, before selling the company in 2017 for 7 figures.
They achieved this without working themselves into an early grave – creating a great lifestyle where they stepped out, worked remotely, travelled 4-6 months of the year, enjoyed all the things that they love about life and empowered others to run their business as it grew.
Though 2020 has proven to be unpredictable when it comes to travel and tourism trends, a rise in "flexcations" and last-minute booking has some industry forecasts anticipating an uptick in experiences this winter season.
Though this could be great news for our industry, the threat of a second wave means business operations are under more scrutiny than ever before as companies search for effective ways to drive revenue while offering a safe customer experience.
Matt Osterhaus, Product Manager at Peek Pro, will walk you through four key revenue-driving features that will help you strategically respond to these trends and set your business up for success in the months to come.
Matt will be joined by industry expert Kyle Davidson to give a tour operators perspective on how these features can make a true difference to your business.

He'll cover how to calculate your break even point and demonstrate how even small adjustments in pricing can make big changes to your bottom line. He'll also discuss strategies on how to best work with OTAs to maximize your margins.
Founder, Tour Operator CFO
In 2011, Dan resurrected the 40,000 person Taste of DC food festival in the nation's capital. Over the next 6 years, he went on to produce 40 food & beverage events that grossed over $9 million, including 3 years of 25%+ revenue growth.

Digital Marketing Director, Blend Marketing
You and your website are no longer the first interaction that potential customers have with your company. Before most customers ever visit your website or pick up the phone to call you, they’re vetting you and your competitors on Google Maps.
Imagery, reviews, hours, address, products, questions and answers, services, and more—whether you realize it or not, it’s all on Google Maps, and people are looking at it. Or, they’re at least looking at the companies that rank on Google Maps. In this session I'll walkthrough:
